Lewis and <strong>the</strong> local Malcolm X Foundation.<br />
As a case in point of our thorough investigation, we found<br />
Roland Gittelsohn <strong>to</strong> be affiliated with several Communist front<br />
organizations, such as <strong>the</strong> American Congress for Peace and<br />
Democracy, and <strong>the</strong> Mid-Century Conference for Peace, one<br />
of which was an affiliate of <strong>the</strong> American League for Peace<br />
and Democracy, which was on <strong>the</strong> At<strong>to</strong>rney General's list of<br />
<strong>the</strong> United States as a subversive Communist organization.<br />
Subsequent <strong>to</strong> that, he became affiliated with <strong>the</strong> National<br />
Committee <strong>to</strong> Repeal <strong>the</strong> McCarran Act, which was labeled<br />
subversive. It is, <strong>the</strong>refore, no wonder that he <strong>the</strong>n joined <strong>the</strong><br />
National Committee <strong>to</strong> Abolish <strong>the</strong> House of Un-American<br />
Activities In 1958 Gittelsohn's name appeared in <strong>the</strong><br />
Communist Worker as a signer of a statement calling for Red<br />
China's admission <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> United Nations. Red China <strong>to</strong>day has<br />
an El Fatah training camp in Can<strong>to</strong>n, China, and from <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
offices emerges throughout <strong>the</strong> world virulent propaganda<br />
against <strong>the</strong> State of Israel.<br />
In 1960, he became an adviser <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Congress of Racial<br />
Equality, which supported much of <strong>the</strong> Black anti-Semitic<br />
activity in <strong>the</strong> United States. In 1961, he signed a clemency<br />
petition for imprisoned Communists Frank Wilkinson and Carl<br />
Braden. In 1964, he joined a group of Communists sponsoring<br />
a memorial tribute <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> Communist W. E. B. DuBois, and<br />
<strong>the</strong>re was much, much more.<br />
Dossiers were collected and <strong>the</strong> information was siphoned<br />
in<strong>to</strong> Bet Jabotinsky in Israel, <strong>the</strong> seat of <strong>the</strong> Herut Party, which<br />
formed Gachal and is now <strong>the</strong> nucleus of <strong>the</strong> Likud coalition. I<br />

mysticism Professor Gershom Scholem had said about <strong>the</strong><br />
connection between <strong>the</strong> radical 17th century Sabbatian move-<br />
ment, and <strong>the</strong> 18th century Frankists connections with <strong>the</strong><br />
