He has more than 60 journals <strong>and</strong> 100 conferenceproceeding publications, <strong>and</strong> his research interests includeenvironmental <strong>and</strong> waste management including wastewatertreatment.Yumio IshiiDr Yumio Ishii is a civil engineering consultant <strong>and</strong> chairman<strong>and</strong> CEO of CTI <strong>Engineering</strong> Co Ltd of Tokyo. Dr Ishii has 50years experience as a consulting engineer in the <strong>development</strong>of water-related infrastructure, is the Chair of the Disaster RiskManagement Task Force of the World Federation of <strong>Engineering</strong>Organizations <strong>and</strong> Past President of the Japan Society ofCivil Engineers.Mervyn E. JonesDr Mervyn Jones has degrees in Physics, Materials Science<strong>and</strong> Electrical <strong>Engineering</strong> <strong>and</strong> 25 years research experience inindustry <strong>and</strong> university, working on magnetic, optoelectronic,silicon/germanium heterostructure device <strong>development</strong>.
