More importantly, the meetings and workshops promptedcontinuous input and feedback from relevant participants throughout the drafting stages of the Plan.Below is a summary of the key meetings and community workshops held during the development of theplan update. 2 In many cases, routine discussions and additional meetings were held by local staff toaccomplish planning tasks specific to their department or agency, such as the approval of specific<strong>mitigation</strong> actions for their jurisdiction, department or agency to undertake and include in theMitigation Action Plan.The following is a summary of the meetings that occurred during the <strong>LMS</strong> update planning process.Meeting invitations, agendas, minutes and rosters are provided in Appendix D.Kickoff MeetingJune 4, 2009The Kickoff Meeting was held at the <strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> Emergency Operations Center and was attended bythe <strong>LMS</strong> Working Group. The primary purpose of the call was to explain the proposed planning processin detail, describe individual roles and responsibilities and begin initial data collection efforts.2 Copies of the agendas, sign-in sheets, minutes and handout materials for all meetings and workshops are availablethrough <strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> upon request.<strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong> Multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation PlanFebruary 20102:6
