A repetitive lossproperty may or may not be currently insured by the NFIP. Currently there are over 122,000 repetitiveloss properties nationwide.According to FEMA repetitive loss property records (as of April 2009), there are 155 “non-mitigated”repetitive loss properties located in <strong>Volusia</strong> <strong>County</strong>. These properties have accounted for a total of 352losses and more than $8 million in claims payments under the NFIP. Without <strong>mitigation</strong>, theseproperties will likely continue to experience flood losses.
