APPENDIX F: INDIVIDUAL JURISDICTIONAL MITIGATION PLANSAn individual jurisdictional mitigation plan has been prepared for each of the participating jurisdictions.Each plan includes the following information that was updated during June – August of 2009: Background Hazard Identification Ranking Action Plan – Mitigation InitiativesBackground information includes the jurisdiction’s population estimate based on 2008 U.S. Censusestimates, the industry(ies) that comprise the local economy , the amount of vacant acreage and theproposed use for the vacant lands.The hazard ranking provides each jurisdiction’s perception of the level of risk associated with eachhazard that could impact their community. Historic and recent disaster events are useful for targetingthe mitigation needs of the community based on the type, location and magnitude of the impactsexperienced, along with the community’s exposure and losses these various hazards.
