111 Special Academic Programs• A student may not register for more than four semester hours of internship in anyone semester.• Students should register for the department appropriate internship course(ex. BUS 470). If no such departmental course designation exists, the student mustregister for credit under EED 09X.• A maximum of eight total semester hours may be received for all experiences.• Participation in an internship requires junior or senior standing with at least 62semester hours completed. Transfer students must have completed at least 30semester hours at <strong>Barton</strong> <strong>College</strong>.• A 2.50 minimum grade point average is required to participate.Washington Center internships offer additional credit as noted below. Academic credit earnedis elective credit, unless an exception is made by the department or school of the student’smajor program.Courses of Instruction: Experiential Education ProgramEED 094. Experiential Education. 4.An off-campus student work assignment, supervised and evaluated by faculty from the <strong>College</strong>.Note: Pass/Fail grading. Other considerations governing the course are listed above. Course also offeredas EED 091 for one semester hour, as EED 092 for two semester hours, and as EED 093 for threesemester hours.Course of Instruction: Washington CenterCourses taken through the Washington Center are entered on the <strong>College</strong> transcript with theprefix WCE and are not considered transfer courses. The courses available to the student varyfrom semester to semester. A student may participate in the program offered by the WashingtonCenter for one semester and may take up to 15 semester hours.Course of Instruction: Co-OpParticipation in the Co-Op experiences with the Disney <strong>College</strong> Program is entered on the<strong>College</strong> transcript with the prefix WRK, for which no semester hours are earned. Consequently,no tuition is charged. Co-Op designation is required to maintain continuous enrollment and tomaintain eligibility for financial aid and coverage by family medical insurance.Career Services is a part of the Office of Student Success, located in the Willis N. Hackney Library.
