This credit will count for the Lifetime Activityrequirement of the Sports Science component of the General College Core requirement. Nomore than one semester hour of credit may be earned by participation in intercollegiate sports.Students with DisabilitiesA student who has a permanent disability which prevents participation in all or part of the SportsScience component of the General College Core requirements may be allowed to modify thisrequirement. After the presentation of a doctor’s verification of the disability to the Chair of theDepartment, the requirement can be modified to comply with the restriction. If the student’sdisability is such that there can be no benefit from the Sports Science classes, then a petition forexemption from this requirement may be submitted through the normal petition procedure. Sucha petition should be accompanied by appropriate medical recommendations.
