Legal Environment of Professional Accounting. 3.This second course in business law serves to familiarize the student with the Uniform CommercialCode and the law as it relates to the professional accountant. Individual Research Problems in Accounting. 3.Individual research problems in the theory and/or the practice of accountancy, chosen by thestudent, with the approval of the sponsoring faculty member.Note: Also listed as ACC 481 for one semester hour, and ACC 482 for two semester hours credit.ACC 490. Current Topics in Accounting. 3.Contemporary topics are discussed and analyzed with respect to both theoretical and practicalapplications to accounting. In addition, students will develop a working knowledgeof a business plan and its contribution to the entrepreneurial process.BUS 335. Entrepreneurship II - Management of the Enterprise. 3.This course focuses on the management of the emerging enterprise and procurement of resourcesas the new venture implements their business plan. Close attention will be given to the issues thatfor-profit and nonprofit organizations face in their attempts to secure human, financial, physical,and organizational assets, and the important considerations that these firms face as they grow andconfront the challenges of organizational change.Prerequisite: BUS 325.
