20 Financial AidScholarship Award CriteriaAward (Transfer) Description $ AmountTransfer High Honors Scholarship 3.2 GPA ≥. The award is renewable when the $ 3,000student maintains a 3.0 GPA.Transfer Honors Scholarship 2.85 GPA ≥. The award is renewable when the $ 2,000student maintains a 2.5 GPA.Transfer Incentive Award 2.5 GPA ≥. The award is renewable when the $ 1,000student maintains a 2.0 GPA.Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship Awarded to incoming transfer students who are $ 2,000members of Phi Theta Kappa.Alumni Award The Alumni Award is awarded to dependent $ 1,000children of <strong>Barton</strong> <strong>College</strong> / Atlantic Christian<strong>College</strong> graduates. The award is renewable whenthe student maintains a 2.5 GPA.Scholarships and Award OpportunitiesThe administration of the scholarships is subject to the following rules.• A student seeking scholarship aid must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).An eligible student may receive more than one scholarship if qualified.• The total amount of grants and scholarships from all institutional sources may not exceed thetotal cost of attendance.• A student placed on suspension may not be eligible to retain an endowed scholarship.Religion Scholarships• A student who is either an unmarried dependent child (under 23 years of age) or a spouseof a minister in active service is eligible for a tuition scholarship up to $2,400 annually, if thereis financial need.• A student who is an unmarried dependent child (under 23 years of age) of a member of theprofessional staff of the Higher Education and Leadership Ministries of the Christian Church(Disciples of Christ) is eligible for the same tuition remission offered to dependents of thefaculty and staff of the <strong>College</strong>.• A student engaging in the study of religion is eligible for a number of endowed and institutionalscholarships available for that purpose.<strong>Barton</strong> <strong>College</strong> Future Business Leaders of America ScholarshipThe <strong>Barton</strong> <strong>College</strong> Future Business Leaders of America Scholarship is an annually renewable$1,000 tuition scholarship granted to a maximum of five entering (or transfer) students whodemonstrate active participation in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) in high school
