The Choir performs music bothsacred and secular from classical to contemporary eras, and it presents annual concerts andperformances at a variety of campus events. Choir is recommended to all musicians to strengthentheir interpretative and sight-singing skills. Fall, Spring.Prerequisite: Open to any student by audition.Note: Regular attendance at rehearsals and performances is required.MUS 022. <strong>Barton</strong> <strong>College</strong>/Wilson Symphony Orchestra. 1.An opportunity for qualified students to perform in an established semi-professional symphonyorchestra. The <strong>Barton</strong> <strong>College</strong>/Wilson Symphony Orchestra is a full orchestra with professionalmentors leading each individual section. After a successful audition, students will rehearse weeklyand perform at four annual concerts. Additional private instrumental study is strongly encouragedfor all student members. Music Survey. 3.This introductory level course will focus on the art of music and its role in Western culture. The student will become acquainted with thetraditional music of selected cultures.
