Single-letter abbreviationsSingle-letter abbreviations, homographic abbreviations, and measurementabbreviations are described next.Note: As a general rule, use a period and an optional space to terminate anabbreviation.Ambiguous situations may occur between single-letter abbreviations andinitials.
