ICS-1000 Ion Chromatography System5.10 Replacing the SuppressorRefer to the suppressor manual for guidance about when to replace a suppressor.Suppressor manuals are included on the Dionex Reference Library CD-ROM(P/N 053891), located in the ICS-1000 Ship Kit (P/N 057905).1. Refer to the suppressor quick start guide (shipped with the suppressor) forinstructions on preparing the suppressor before initial use and for additionalinstallation details.2. Turn off the pump from the ICS-1000 Control Panel in Chromeleon.3. Open the front door of the ICS-1000.4. Disconnect the two eluent and the two regenerant lines from the suppressor.5. To remove the suppressor from the component mounting panel, slide it up todetach it from the mounting tabs on the panel and then pull it toward you.6. Continue pulling thesuppressor out until theyellow connector on thecable inside the ICS-1000 isoutside the panel (seeFigure 5-11).7. Disconnect the suppressorcable (twist the ring on theyellow connector and pullthe two connectors apart).YellowConnectorFigure 5-11. Removing the Suppressor8. Connect the cable from the new suppressor to the ICS-1000 cable (align thepins on the two connectors and push them together).9.
