Open the waste valve on the secondary pump head by turning theknob one-quarter to one-half turn counterclockwise (seeFigure B-37). Opening the valve directs the eluent flow path to wasteand eliminates backpressure.3. Click Prime on the Chromeleon Control Panel (see Figure B-36). Thepump will begin pumping at approximately 3.0 mL/min.4. Continue priming the <strong>ICS</strong>-<strong>1000</strong> until no air bubbles are exiting thepump waste line.5. Press Pump Off.6. Close the waste valve. Do not overtighten.
