Beforebeginning the installation, refer to the column andsuppressor manuals for detailed start-up andinstallation instructions. The manuals are provided onthe Dionex Reference Library CD-ROM (P/N 053891),which is located in the ICS-1000 Ship Kit (P/N 057905).Before beginning:• Remove the guard column, separator column, and suppressor from theirboxes.• Remove the fitting plugs from the ends of each column and from all ports onthe suppressor.• Discard any tubing temporarily connecting the suppressor ports.B.9.1Column Heater Setup (Optional)Follow the steps below if the optional column heater is installed.1. Cut off the twoshipping ties fromthe column heaterand remove them(see Figure B-17).2. Loosen the twothumbscrews onthe heater cover(they remainattached to thecover).3.
