C • TTL and Relay Control• Inverted Pulse: The invertedpulse mode operates identicallyto the normal pulse modeexcept that the positive andnegative edges are reversed infunction.C.2 Controlling TTL and Relay OutputsThe ICS-1000 provides two TTL outputs and two relay contacts for control offunctions in external devices, such as an integrator or autosampler. The relayoutputs can be used to switch any low-voltage control. Switched current must beless than 200 mA and 60 V peak blocking. The relay-contact closures arenormally open. When the relay is closed, current flows to the connected device.Relay loads in excess of 200 mA or with included power supplies over60 V may damage the relay drivers on the CPU.The TTL outputs are normally at 5 volts. Setting a TTL output to 0 volts turns onthe action in the connected device.Doc. 031879-01 3/03 C-5
