ICS-1000 Ion Chromatography SystemThe TTL and relay output states can be controlled, either by issuing direct controlcommands from the Chromeleon control panel or by including the commands in acontrol program. C • TTL and Relay ControlC.3 Example Setup for Stand-Alone OperationThis section describes an example setup for stand-alone operation (operationwithout Chromeleon software) with an AS50 autosampler and a third-partyanalog-to-digital converter and controller. If your configuration includes differentdevices, use the following steps as guidelines and refer to your productdocumentation for specific connection details.Verify the AS50 ConfigurationRefer to Section B.17.1 to verify that the AS50 meets the configurationrequirements for use with the ICS-1000.Connect the AS50 AutosamplerFollow the instructions in Section B.17.2 to connect the AS50 autosampler to theICS-1000 injection valve.Connect the TTLs and Relays1. Locate two twisted pairs ofwires (P/N 043598) and 12-position connector plugs(P/N 923686) (seeFigure C-5) in the ICS-1000and AS50 Ship Kits.2. Attach the wires to theconnector plug positionsindicated in Figure C-6.Position 1Position 12LockingScrewsFigure C-5. 12-Position Connector PlugTo attach a wire to a connector plug, strip the ends of the wire, insert into thedesired connector position, and tighten the locking screw with a screwdriver.When attaching wires to the connector plug, be careful not to allowstray strands of wire to short to the adjoining position on theconnector.3.
