1-4 Installation/WiringAC Supply SourceConsiderationsPowerFlex drives are suitable for use on a circuit capable of delivering up toa maximum of 200,000 rms symmetrical amperes, 600 volts withrecommended fuses/circuit breakers. Refer to the PowerFlex ReferenceManual - Phase II Control, publication PFLEX-RM003, for actual interruptratings based on circuit breaker or fuse choice.!ATTENTION: To guard against personal injury and/orequipment damage caused by improper fusing or circuit breakerselection, use only the recommended line fuses/circuit breakersspecified in Appendix A.If a Residual Current Detector (RCD) is used as a system ground faultmonitor, only Type B (adjustable) devices should be used to avoid nuisancetripping.Unbalanced, Ungrounded or Resistive Grounded Distribution SystemsIf phase to ground voltage will exceed 125% of normal or the supply systemis ungrounded, refer to Wiring and Grounding Guidelines for Pulse WidthModulated (PWM) AC Drives, publication DRIVES-IN001, for moreinformation.!ATTENTION: PowerFlex 700S drives contain protective MOVsand common mode capacitors that are referenced to ground. These devices must be disconnected if the drive is installed on aresistive grounded distribution system or an ungroundeddistribution system.
