Bank Phb Plc: Senior Associate/ Regional Sales Manager - Lagos Island (Jun 2007 - Oct 2009)<br />

Bank Phb Plc is the fifth largest bank in Nigeria, with over three million customers and 260 branches in Nigeria and five other<br />

countries in Africa.<br />

� Designed and implemented a regional sales structure, collaborating with eight cross-functional senior management staff <strong>of</strong> the retail banking<br />

division. The success <strong>of</strong> the implementation increased the pr<strong>of</strong>itability <strong>of</strong> the branches by 60% in two years.<br />

� Led the recruitment and performance appraisal committee <strong>of</strong> five heads <strong>of</strong> department, whose responsibility was to design the framework<br />

for recruiting, posting and appraising retail sales staff appropriately. Commended by management for qualitative output.<br />

� Developed retail banking products with third parties (British Council, HP Technologies) and the IT department, used as incentives to attract<br />

salary earners to open an account, to obtain loans for studying in the UK, purchasing laptops and other large household applicances. This<br />

increased the revenue <strong>of</strong> the retail bank by 20% in 12 months and highlighted the bank's leadership in product innovation.<br />

� Participated with six other staff and two agencies in the development and implementation <strong>of</strong> small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs)<br />

partnership programme. The success <strong>of</strong> the implementation <strong>of</strong> the project increased revenues in the sector by 35%.<br />

Access Bank Plc: Head, e-Banking Product <strong>Development</strong> - �������������������������- Jun 2007)<br />

One <strong>of</strong> Africa�s fastest growing banks, a vibrant brand with special interest in service delivery through electronic banking. Over 130<br />

branches in Nigeria and 13 other branches in Africa and Europe with assets <strong>of</strong> US$5.5bn.<br />

� Designed and implemented a card-based fee collection solution for the Netherland's embassy in Nigeria, using a web based online payment<br />

system. The successful implementation increased embassy business with the bank by 40% and is currently the only way to pay for visa<br />

fees in Nigeria.<br />

� Enhanced and strengthened Access Banks retail team in the management and payment <strong>of</strong> retired army <strong>of</strong>ficers salaries and benefits, which<br />

is a key account to the bank. Successful implementation <strong>of</strong> the processes increased revenue from the account by 30%.<br />

Gulf Bank Plc: Branch Business Manager -�Lagos and Onitsha, Nigeria (Jan 1998 - Apr 2003)<br />

The company provides general banking services to the public with a strong emphasis on commercial and public sector banking.<br />

� Led a team <strong>of</strong> 23 in the opening <strong>of</strong> the Iweka market branch, which broke even within the first five months <strong>of</strong> operation and was<br />

acknowledged by management as the fastest growing and third most pr<strong>of</strong>itable branch in 2002.<br />

� As the branch�s Business <strong>Development</strong> Manager managed two other pr<strong>of</strong>itable branches <strong>of</strong> the bank, in charge <strong>of</strong> business development in<br />

Lagos and Onitsha. Working with 35 staff divided into various groups, monitored individual performance in line with set targets.<br />
