Loughborough University: Final Year Dissertation Project - Loughborough (Oct 2008- Jun 2009)<br />
Loughborough University is among the top 10 universities in the UK; with over 10,000 students pursuing a Bachelor�s level or<br />
equivalent degree, with over 67 programmes to select from.<br />
� Conducted research in assessing the extent to which the UK airline industry would become more efficient after the break-up <strong>of</strong> BAA airports.<br />
This involved using Data Envelopment Analysis and Stochastic Frontier Analysis s<strong>of</strong>tware to calculate efficiency scores for each <strong>of</strong> the 40<br />
UK airports and comparing results generated using ratio analysis.<br />
� Outcome <strong>of</strong> the findings was that although BAA airports were productively efficient by more than 90%, the overall efficiency fell due to<br />
mismanagement between employees and customers; particularly, the IRR values for some <strong>of</strong> the London-based BAA airports seemed to be<br />
negative, suggesting inefficiency. Achieved 1st class grade for this work.<br />
Bradford Metropolitan Council: Administrative Officer - Bradford (Summer 2007 and 2008)<br />
Tasked with inputting data, filing, taking customer appointments and managing mail, which helped to perfect organisation skills.<br />
� Promoted from working as an assistant administrator <strong>of</strong> the bus depot department to being administrator <strong>of</strong> Bradford Council�s southern<br />
area in summer 2008.<br />
� Met targets, working within a team <strong>of</strong> six and cross-functionally, by contacting customers through email and letters, reducing the level <strong>of</strong><br />
customer complaints from 34% to 2%. This was achieved through responding quickly to complaints from local residents, demonstrating an<br />
understanding <strong>of</strong> the local community and by helping to bridge the gap between the council management and local residents.<br />
Face to Face Fundraising: Commercial Trainee and Fundraiser - Sydney (Jan 2006 - Jun 2006)<br />
Face to Face Fundraising is one <strong>of</strong> the leading and successful commercial institutions promoting various charities and social causes<br />
by employing over 5,000 fundraisers in Australia.<br />
� Performed fundraising campaigns for Cancer Research by spreading cancer awareness effectively, through targeted advertising and use <strong>of</strong><br />

A self-owned company named Fleur-t with four other shareholders, wide product portfolio that included trinkets brooches, greetings<br />
cards and home accessories.<br />
� Co-ordinated within a team <strong>of</strong> five the administration <strong>of</strong> company, which won 1st prize within the Kirklees Council. Competed at county level<br />
gaining an environmental prize for the product.<br />
� Gained insight into market survey methods carried out to devise product�s pricing strategy; product innovation techniques during<br />
manufacturing process and, after receiving customer feedback, through efficient customer service.<br />
� Refined customer relationship management, increasing sales and generating �1,000 pr<strong>of</strong>it at the end <strong>of</strong> the first financial year.<br />
