<strong>Career</strong> History: Ecole de Biologie Industrielle (EBI): Academic Projects (Virtual Companies), Cergy, France (Sep 2008 - Feb 2009) EBI is an engineering school (duration <strong>of</strong> the course is five years), focussed on industrial biology where the research and development techniques, the industrial processes and the quality controls in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and environmental industries are taught. � Developed, within a team <strong>of</strong> eight students, four projects, implementing the quality management process, marketing strategy, formulation and toxicological researches <strong>of</strong> three innovative products (�smoothie party�, the �tanning bubble bath��and the �luxury spot cream�). Evaluated every aspect <strong>of</strong> a new product development process by undertaking research (personal training) and by using the alumni experience. Presented these projects in front <strong>of</strong> a panel made up <strong>of</strong> members <strong>of</strong> administration, industry experts and consultants. � Carried out quality work by using creative techniques and scientific knowledge, as well asallocating the resources <strong>of</strong> the eight person team to maximum effect. Evaluated the business opportunities and potential to purchase a specialised laboratory, through competitor and financial analysis. Collected all the information about the cosmetic life cycle and conducted tests at each stage to meet authorities' requirements. Overcame the main difficulty, the service's lack <strong>of</strong> knowledge in cosmetics, (by using the help <strong>of</strong> the school's network). � Presented to the corporate marketing manager and from this Silliker decided to follow the suggested strategy and at the time <strong>of</strong> leaving, was considering purchasing a laboratory in the near future for this purpose. Institut de Recherches Internationales Servier (IRIS): Therapeutic Quality Assurance Department, (Intern) - Courbevoie, France (Jul 2007 - Aug 2007) Servier is the first independent pharmaceutical French group. It provides medicines for cardiology, diabetes, depression and artery disease. Servier is a manufactoring company, as well as a research laboratory. � Updated the database <strong>of</strong> the quality indicators <strong>of</strong> clinical studies during the development <strong>of</strong> medicine. Worked with a staff <strong>of</strong> 20 in the department to understand the problems with the current indicators and the expectations for the new ones. � Analysed the feedback and reviewed the indicators by fitting together some and deleting others. Submitted amendments by presenting the new database to the Director <strong>of</strong> the department. � Produced a draft for a regulatory document as the second stage <strong>of</strong> the project, �The Risks Prevention Plan��for a specific clinical study, by studying previous reports and collecting data from the doctors involved. As a result, the department is now more organised and more efficient.
