Maersk Oil Kazakhstan GmbH (MOK): Public Relations and Human Resources Assistant - Almaty, Kazakhstan (Aug 2006 - ����������
Branch of Maersk Oil, a top 25 independent oil and gas producing company, involved in exploration and production of oil and gas,
from two oilfields in the north-western and western parts of Kazakhstan.
� Managed the marketing and recruitment of promising technical graduates to Maersk Oil International Technology and Science (MITAS)
Education Programme. Marketing campaign included MITAS presentations in major technical universities throughout Kazakhstan, which
resulted in hiring talented students to meet the recruitment target, and will run until 2011.
� Worked closely with corporate communications in the company's headquarters, to produce footage and advertising material (budget:
US$60k) to be used at career fairs and international exhibitions (KIOGE). MOK exhibition stand successively gained a recognition award
(2006-2008) and footage was used in the corporate video on the health and safety policy.
� Liaised on a regular basis with the European Business Association and Kazakhstan Petroleum Associations, regional supervisory and
ministerial authorities on MOK membership and sponsorship initiatives.
� Represented MOK branch at the internal corporate communications conferences and semi-annual learning board alignment meetings.
Agenda included marketing of education programmes, development of in-house training and organisation of development plans.
� Supported functions of senior human resources specialist in assessment, employment, compensation and co-ordination with recruitment
agencies.
Assistant to Production and Drilling Departments - Almaty, Kazakhstan (Aug 2002 - Aug 2006)
Developed MOK proprietary electronic database of hydrocarbon proven reserves in Kazakhstan with potential acquisition targets and
exploration trends linked to geophysical maps. Database is widely used up to the present day throughout the company.
� Established long lasting contacts with leading international training providers of technical courses.
� Conducted a fast-track recruitment campaign in co-operation with human resourse consultant, which led to testing and employment of 45
qualified welding and production specialists out of more than 200 applicants for the startup of oilfield operations.
McCann-Erickson Kazakhstan: Internship - Almaty, Kazakhstan (Sep 2000 - Mar 2001)
Subdivision of McCann-Erickson Group in Kazakhstan, world's leading advertising agency.
� Co-ordinated a Nescafe project with six members of the public relations department, aimed at introducing a coffee culture to a traditional
tea-drinking society. Project included a large market research and promotion campaign, which resulted in installation of coffee machines in
major Kazakhstani cities.
American Red Cross Organisation: Internship - Rock Island, Quad Cities, IL, USA (Jan 2000 - Jun 2000)
Humanitarian worldwide organisation providing emergency assistance, disaster relief and education.
� Designed layout of local magazines and newsletters on first-aid assistance.
� Promoted first-aid and volunteer service opportunities at the job fairs in local educational institutions.
� Participated in implementation of �Clean Hands��project designed to decrease a disease rate in the quad cities low income community.
