<strong>Career</strong> History:<br />
Ecole de Biologie Industrielle (EBI): Academic Projects (Virtual Companies), Cergy, France (Sep 2008 - Feb 2009)<br />
EBI is an engineering school (duration <strong>of</strong> the course is five years), focussed on industrial biology where the research and<br />
development techniques, the industrial processes and the quality controls in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical and environmental<br />
industries are taught.<br />
� Developed, within a team <strong>of</strong> eight students, four projects, implementing the quality management process, marketing strategy, formulation<br />
and toxicological researches <strong>of</strong> three innovative products (�smoothie party�, the �tanning bubble bath��and the �luxury spot cream�). Evaluated<br />
every aspect <strong>of</strong> a new product development process by undertaking research (personal training) and by using the alumni experience.<br />
Presented these projects in front <strong>of</strong> a panel made up <strong>of</strong> members <strong>of</strong> administration, industry experts and consultants.<br />
� Carried out quality work by using creative techniques and scientific knowledge, as well asallocating the resources <strong>of</strong> the eight person team<br />
to maximum effect. Developed the marketing project with the �Talents' Nursery <strong>of</strong> Cergy, an agency seeking innovative ideas and sponsoring<br />
the best product <strong>of</strong> the class each year. Awarded top marks.<br />
Gala EBI 2009: Vice President <strong>of</strong> the Entertainment Committee -�Paris, France (Apr 2008 - Jan 2009)<br />
Gala EBI is a five year old event, run annually and organised by a 20 student team, to promote the school. The purpose is to assist and<br />
help the students, alumni and companies to network.<br />
� Built and managed the team <strong>of</strong> 20 people, co-operated with the team leader in the organisation <strong>of</strong> this event, with a budget <strong>of</strong> �35k for 1,000<br />
people. Raised �6k within nine months by organising events (concerts, parties, personal jobs) and through company sponsorship, by a<br />
canvassing process, designing a partnership booklet in which the added value was explained, targeting companies, cold calling, then visiting<br />

Parisbas, Air Liquide and Silliker.<br />
� Improved the reputation <strong>of</strong> the school by relaunching the Gala, managing 95% participation within the students and administration members.<br />

Silliker: Marketing Department, Internship - Cergy Pontoise, France (Jul 2008 - Sep 2008)<br />
Silliker provides food manufacturers, restaurants, caterers and retailers with consulting, testing, auditing, research and training<br />
services that assure quality, safety and nutrition.<br />
� Led market research to evaluate business diversification (new market, new services) for cosmetic product testing, by using scientific<br />
knowledge in cosmetics. Evaluated the business opportunities and potential to purchase a specialised laboratory, through competitor and<br />
financial analysis. Collected all the information about the cosmetic life cycle and conducted tests at each stage to meet authorities'<br />
requirements. Overcame the main difficulty, the service's lack <strong>of</strong> knowledge in cosmetics, (by using the help <strong>of</strong> the school's network).<br />
� Presented to the corporate marketing manager and from this Silliker decided to follow the suggested strategy and at the time <strong>of</strong> leaving, was<br />
considering purchasing a laboratory in the near future for this purpose.<br />
Institut de Recherches Internationales Servier (IRIS): Therapeutic Quality Assurance Department, (Intern) - Courbevoie, France (Jul<br />
2007 - Aug 2007)<br />
Servier is the first independent pharmaceutical French group. It provides medicines for cardiology, diabetes, depression and artery<br />
disease. Servier is a manufactoring company, as well as a research laboratory.<br />
� Updated the database <strong>of</strong> the quality indicators <strong>of</strong> clinical studies during the development <strong>of</strong> medicine. Worked with a staff <strong>of</strong> 20 in the<br />
department to understand the problems with the current indicators and the expectations for the new ones.<br />
� Analysed the feedback and reviewed the indicators by fitting together some and deleting others. Submitted amendments by presenting the<br />
new database to the Director <strong>of</strong> the department.<br />
� Produced a draft for a regulatory document as the second stage <strong>of</strong> the project, �The Risks Prevention Plan��for a specific clinical study, by<br />
studying previous reports and collecting data from the doctors involved. As a result, the department is now more organised and more<br />
efficient.<br />
