Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals Ltd: Business Analyst - China (Feb 2007 - Sep 2009)<br />

Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals is Roche�s first joint venture in China. Founded in Switzerland, the Roche Group is one <strong>of</strong> the top<br />

ten global pharmaceutical enterprises. Through 15 years <strong>of</strong> development, Shanghai Roche has grown into one <strong>of</strong> the leaders in<br />

China�s pharmaceutical industry, with double-digit increases in sales turnover in consecutive years.<br />

� Initiated and implemented new customised business intelligence projects for different products, and as a team member, was instrumental in<br />

����������������������������������������������70m), by carefully planning and initiating projects. As a result, was nominated �Best<br />

Employee��<strong>of</strong> Roche in 2008, and achieved recognition from senior management.<br />

� Participated in the marketing team activities, producing and enhancing marketing strategies, through analysing outsourced and internal<br />

market intelligence and acting upon the findings.<br />

� Assisted the marketing and sales team to co-ordinate annual target and budget setting, working closely with the financial control team.<br />

Involved in cross-departmental activities and communications, positively influencing the process.<br />

Shanghai Roche Pharmaceuticals Ltd: Marketing Assistant - China (Jan 2006 - Jan 2007)<br />

Provided assistance to the central marketing team, organising marketing activities including brand meetings, seminars, sponsor<br />

projects and client training (UCLA Hospital management training). Contributed to an annual sales increase <strong>of</strong> 30% (�6m) through<br />

managing the event organisation process.<br />

� Actively participated in agency briefings; contributed the idea <strong>of</strong> organising brand meetings, seminars and fora, which was adopted by the<br />

organisation. These proved successful in increasing sales turnover.<br />

� Co-ordinated with finance and purchasing departments to make sure every marketing activity ran smoothly and within budget, whilst still<br />

fulfilling the required criteria <strong>of</strong> the marketing department, and maintaining the aim <strong>of</strong> satisfying the needs <strong>of</strong> consumers.<br />

� Presented findings from internal sales data and marketing intelligence reports monthly to marketing team, presenting field force<br />
