VESZPRÉM
This city with county rights, boasting a nearly thousand-year-old history, is situated on the
slopes of the Bakony highlands. It is also called the city of queens due to the privilege of the
Veszprém bishop as the only one who was entitled to crown a Hungarian queen. Today the
landscape of the city, which keeps its traditions and preserves its cultural rarities, is dominated
by Baroque buildings that attract tourists with their beauty.

Die Komitatsstadt mit fast tausendjähriger Geschichte liegt in der Bakonyer-Berggegend (Ung.
Buchenwald). Entsprechend dem Sonderrecht der Bischöfe von Veszprém wird sie auch als
Stadt der Königinnen genannt, nur sie hatte das Recht, die ungarischen Königinnen zu krönen.
Die Schönheit der dominierenden Barockgebäude der Stadt mit nationalen Traditionen und
kulturellen Raritäten zieht die Touristen an.

Questa città capoluogo di regione dal passato quasi millenario si estende sui pendii montani
del Bakony. È stata definita anche la città delle regine per il diritto di privilegio del vescovo di
Veszprém, dato che soltanto lui poteva incoronare la regina ungherese. Oggi l’immagine della
città, che cura le proprie tradizioni nazionali e conserva rarità culturali, è dominata da palazzi
barocchi che attirano con la loro bellezza i turisti.
VESZPRÉM
A közel ezer éves múltú megyejogú város a Bakony hegyvidék lejtőin terül el. Királynék városának
is nevezik a mindenkori veszprémi püspök kiváltsága jogán, ugyanis csak itt koronázhattak
magyar királynét. Ma a nemzeti hagyományokat ápoló, kulturális ritkaságokat őrző város képét
a barokk épületek uralják és csalogatják szépségükkel a turistákat.
