KESZTHELY<br />
Keszthely is one of the most populous and frequented towns of Lake Balaton, situated in the northwestern<br />
corner of the lake. It is a cultural centre rich in traditions as well as a university town.<br />
Christopher (Kristóf) Festetics set to build his pompous castle here in the mid 1700’s. Today it can be<br />
visited as a castle museum and it houses the oldest and one of the most beautiful libraries in the country.<br />

Keszthely, eine der größten Städte und der meistbesuchte Ort am Balaton, liegt im Nordwesten des<br />
Sees und ist ein traditionsreiches Kulturzentrum und eine Universitätsstadt. Hier begann Kristóf Festetics<br />
Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts mit dem Bau des prächtigen Schlosses. Heute kann es als Schlossmuseum<br />
besichtigt werden und beherbergt eine der ältesten und schönsten Bibliotheken des Landes.<br />

È una delle città più popolose del Balaton e allo stesso tempo una delle più visitate. Si trova nell’angolo<br />
nord-occidentale del lago. È un centro culturale ricco di tradizioni ed anche una città universitaria.<br />
Qui Kristóf Festetics ha edificato, nella metà del 1700, un fastoso castello. Oggi può essere visitato<br />
come castello-museo ed ospita una delle biblioteche più antiche e ricche di tutta l’Ungheria.<br />
KESZTHELY<br />
Balaton egyik legnépesebb városa, és egyben leglátogatottabb települése is, a tó északnyugati<br />
sarkában fekszik. Hagyományokban gazdag kulturális központ, egyetemváros. Itt látott neki<br />
pompás kastélyának felépítéséhez Festetics Kristóf az 1700-as években. Ma kastélymúzeumként<br />
látogatható és az ország legrégebbi és egyik legszebb könyvtárának ad otthont.<br />
