This beautiful city on the bank of the Tisza has a significant economic and cultural past. Its<br />
first written mention comes from 1183. In 1879 the settlement was washed away by the great<br />
Tisza flood, but it was rebuilt in three years with unbelievable dynamism allowing it to became<br />
a modern city. The most important museums of the city offer numerous interesting sights: the<br />
Móra Ferenc Museum, the Paprika Museum and the Castle Museum.<br />
