Select the base point on the object as shown<br />

in figure; the message, “Specify second<br />

point or [Continue] :” appears in the<br />

<strong>com</strong>m<strong>and</strong> line.<br />

Select the Continue option from the<br />

<strong>com</strong>m<strong>and</strong> line; the message, “Specify first<br />

destination point:” appears in the <strong>com</strong>m<strong>and</strong><br />

line.<br />

Select the endpoint on the destination object<br />

as shown below.<br />

Using the 3D Mirror tool<br />

The 3D Mirror tool is similar to the Mirror tool.<br />

Using the Mirror tool, you can create mirrored<br />

replica of an object in a 2D drawing. The objects are<br />

mirrored about an axis lying on a plane. But, with<br />

the 3D Mirror tool, you need to define a plane about<br />

which the object will be mirrored. The 3D Mirror<br />

tool provides many options to define the mirror<br />

plane.<br />

Click Home > Modify > 3D Mirror on the<br />

ribbon.<br />

<br />

Move the pointer along the X-direction <strong>and</strong><br />

select the endpoint as shown in figure; the<br />

message, “Specify third destination point or<br />

[eXit] :” appears in the <strong>com</strong>m<strong>and</strong> line.<br />

Select the object to be mirrored from the<br />

model <strong>and</strong> press ENTER; the message,<br />

“Specify first point of mirror plane (3<br />

points)” appears above the <strong>com</strong>m<strong>and</strong> line.<br />

<br />

Select the eXit option from the <strong>com</strong>m<strong>and</strong><br />

line; the source object will be aligned as<br />

shown below.<br />

The 3points option is selected by default to<br />

create the mirror plane. You need to specify<br />
