There is an old joke in bodybuilding circles that if you want great calves you need to

choose the right parents. The point is that genetically small calves are notoriously

difficult to grow. But the truth is, your calves can and will grow with the right type of

training. They respond especially well to a very high frequency, up to twice per day for

six days per week, as we cover in chapter 10. For now, here are three variations from

easiest to most challenging.
