VERTICAL PUSH VARIATIONS

Lifting weights overhead, with one or two hands, has probably been a part of strength

sports for as long as they’ve existed. The barbell clean and press was part of Olympic

weightlifting back in 1928. Since overhead barbell presses can be stressful on your

shoulders, many one-arm variations with a dumbbell or kettlebell are recommended.

front and middle deltoids

upper trapezius

stabilizing muscles of the shoulder girdle and abdomen

triceps
