ย้อนไปตั้งแต่สมัยเรียนคณะสถาปัตยกรรมและการ<br />
ออกแบบ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้า<br />
ธนบุรี เราฝึกวิธีการคิดเป็น Thinking School ที่<br />
เริ่มมาจากการคิดจากโจทย์ เริ่มด้วยตัวงาน<br />
ที่มาจากก้อน concept ที่แข็งแรงก่อนจะมาผลิต<br />
เป็นชิ้นงาน เพราะในสมัยเรียน เมื่อไหร่ที่เราเห็น<br />
outcome ออกมาแล้วนั้นแปลว่า เราจะมีภาพจำา<br />
โดยไม่ได้คิดจากสิ่งที่เราจะเล่า เลยเป็นที่มาใน<br />
การออกแบบของบริษัท ฯ ที่ยังยึดถือว่าสารตั้งต้น<br />
ในการออกแบบคือเรื่องราวที่จะเล่า และค่อยๆ<br />
ขยายไปในงานออกแบบจนสุดท้ายออกมาเป็น<br />
outcome ที่ใส่เรื่องราวของงานเข้าไป<br />
งาน GOM Cafe เป็นงานออกแบบของ Southson<br />
Design ที่หยิบยกด้านที่ไม่มีใครมองของตัวหนอน<br />
เพื่อหาความเป็นไปได้ของการออกแบบงาน<br />

During my time as a student in the Faculty<br />
of Architecture and Design at King Mongkut’s<br />
University of Technology Thonburi, we implemented<br />
thinking methods akin to those of<br />
a thinking school. This entailed commencing<br />
the process with a solid concept derived from<br />
the brief, which was subsequently developed<br />
into a physical composition. Because during<br />
our education years, visualizing the outcome<br />
would cause us to form an impression<br />
without carefully considering the concepts<br />
we would convey. Thus, it served as the<br />
foundation for our company’s design, and<br />
we continue to adhere to the notion that<br />
design begins with a narrative to be conveyed,<br />
progressively incorporating it into the<br />
design process until it ultimately becomes<br />
the product that incorporates the work’s<br />
narrative.<br />
GOM Cafe is a design project by Southson<br />
Design that explores the overlooked beauty<br />
of modest cement paving blocks to explore<br />
new possibilities in architectural design.<br />

is the founder and design director of Southson Design,<br />
a design studio that wants to communicate and<br />
convey stories with the belief that storytelling is not<br />
limited to just writing or two-dimensional images<br />
but can be expressed in three-dimensional spatial<br />
form and play with the feelings of the users.
