In the last global report, it was found that although minimal, some<br />

dolphin watching did occur opportunistically on dive trips operating<br />

along the Red Sea Coast. Conflict with Ethiopia and unresolved<br />

tension over borders has now resulted in a significant reduction in<br />

tourism to Eritrea.<br />

Research undertaken for this report indicates that no whale<br />

watching tourism took place in 2008.<br />
