6.1 Introducti<strong>on</strong><br />

<strong>Nursery</strong> is a selected site having a well-defined boundary, where fruit, flower,<br />

vegetable or forest plant species and their cultivars are maintained and multiplied using<br />

various propagati<strong>on</strong> techniques and methods. The importance of mass producti<strong>on</strong> of<br />

nursery plants is to distribute healthy, pest and disease-free plant material am<strong>on</strong>gst the<br />

masses that have little knowledge about the techniques of raising plants. To multiply and<br />

introduce exotic species. Some important nursery species do not seed every year. These<br />
