As we have seen, there are many factors to consider in an analysis of humour.<br />

According to Freud, we can find that jokes disguise those thoughts with the most<br />

valuable content. Thus, understanding humour in theoretical context helps us analyse its<br />

use and its effectiveness in Mexico during the period of this study, 1969 to 1976. The<br />

next chapter focuses on something very far from being funny: the political history of<br />
