00-14 GENRECOMMANDATION DE L’ICCAT SUR L’APPLICATION DES MESURES DE GESTIONDEFINISSANT DES QUOTAS ET/OU LIMITES DE CAPTURE(Entrée en vigueur: 26 juin 2001)RECONNAISSANT que la Recommandation de l’ICCAT sur l’application dans les pêcheries de thon rouge etd’espadon de l’Atlantique nord a été adoptée à la réunion de 1996 de la Commission, et a ensuite été étendue àsa réunion de 1997 pour englober l’application dans la pêcherie d’espadon de l’Atlantique sud;NOTANT que la façon de traiter les sur-consommations et sous-consommations diffère selon les stocks, cequi complique la gestion et le respect des quotas;RECONNAISSANT la nécessité de simplifier les normes en généralisant le traitement des sur-consommationset sous-consommations, afin d’éviter des confusion à l’avenir;LA COMMISSION INTERNATIONALE POUR LA CONSERVATIONDES THONIDÉS DE L’ATLANTIQUE (ICCAT) RECOMMANDE:Pour toute espèce soumise à une gestion de quotas/limites de capture, les sur-consommations et sousconsommationsd’une année donnée pourront être ajoutées au/déduites du quota/limite de capture de la périodesuivante de gestion ou de l’année suivante, à moins qu’une recommandation concernant un stock traite de façonspécifique des sur-consommations et sous-consommations, auquel cas la recommandation en question fera foi.124
