Le développement de ce démonstrateur est en cours actuellement, et c’est sur son exploi- tation avec ALCATEL que mon travail se poursuivra après ma thèse. Le banc et les tests seront réalisés en laboratoire. Un accord signé entre l’ESA et l’ESO (Observatoire Européen Austral) envisage l’instal- lation d’un instrument au sol sur le VLTI qui fera l’objet d’un appel d’offre. Les longueurs d’ondes de fonctionnement pourront être différentes et s’approcher alors de celles de DAR- WIN, c’est-à-dire 10 µm. Un fonctionnement dans une bande IR inférieure serait peut-être aussi possible.
