Orthello. Le film examine les thèmes raciaux de<br />
la pièce dans un cadre historique et contemporain. En même temps, il trace des parallèles entre immigration<br />
et négritude dans le Royaume-Uni d’aujourd’hui.<br />
A reinterpretation and exploration of William Shakespeare’s intentions when writing Othello. The<br />
film examines the play’s racial themes in a historical and contemporary setting, while drawing wider<br />
parallels between immigration and blackness in the UK today.<br />

Matar, een Senegalese visser, vindt een Belgisch<br />
paspoort op een strand in Dakar. Hij<br />
besluit het te gebruiken. Op een dag ontmoet<br />
bij N’Zibou, een gekke, wijze man die<br />
de wolken opmeet. N’Zibdou doet Matar<br />
nadenken over diens zoektocht naar zijn<br />
identiteit.<br />
Matar, un pêcheur sénégalais, trouve un passeport<br />
belge sur une plage de Dakar. Il décide de<br />
l’utiliser. Sur sa route, il croise N’Zibou, le fou-savant<br />
qui mesure les nuages. Il questionne Matar<br />
sur sa quête d’identité.<br />
A Senegalese fisherman finds a Belgian passport on a beach in Dakar and decides to use it. He soon<br />
crosses paths with N’Zibou, a wise man who measures the clouds and questions the man about his<br />
search for identity.<br />
