Deze films hebben nog geen distributeur in Vlaanderen en zijn bijgevolg nog
niet ondertiteld in het Nederlands. Afrika Filmfestival zal de winnende film
ondersteunen in het vinden van een distributeur in Vlaanderen.
DE JURYLEDEN:
JANINE SANTOS
Janine is taking up her masters
on Cultural Anthropology
and Development Studies
in KU Leuven under the
VLIR-OUS Scholarship.
She previously worked for the
Film Development Council of the
Philippines, a government agency
under the Office of the President
mandated to encourage the production
of Filipino films for economic, cultural
and educational purposes both at home
and abroad. As part of the agency, she
served as the Head of Logistics for
the nationwide film festival Pista ng
Pelikulang Pilipino (Festival of Filipino
Films) and has also conducted policy
researches on audience development
and participation. She dreams of
becoming a filmmaker herself, and is
currently conducting research on the
Afrika Filmfestival as part of her
master’s thesis.
JAN COSTERS
Eternal student, self-proclaimed
film fan and reviewer for Veto.
BENNO DEBALS
Engineering student
and writer with too
much spare time,
and part of THE
reviewers duo of Veto.
GEORGI GANCHEV is a
Bulgarian student at the
KU Leuven, doing his
second master degree
in European Studies,
after he finished his first
one in International and
European Law in France.
Aside from his studies he’s working in
the multicultural center of KU Leuven –
Pangaea, where he has the possibility to
meet people from all over the world and
to explore the different cultures without
even quitting the country of Belgium.
He’s driven by curiosity, he’s curious
about everything. If there is something
that he doesn’t know about, or something
that he doen’t have a sufficient
knowledge, he’s willing to spend hours
and hours just to have the basic understanding
of it. His passions are politics,
event management, and cinema.
