Barbie wil in haar volgende film de riem dragen die Kimpa Vita in 1706 droeg op de brandstapel.
Ze hoopt de riem te vinden in Kinshasa. In de Congolese hoofdstad is Captain America
verantwoordelijk voor haar veiligheid en Djo S, die opschept over het feit dat ze meegespeeld
heeft in elke succesvolle films gedraaid in Kinshasa, is haar persoonlijke gids. Tijdens
haar zoektocht herontdekt Barbie het verhaal van Kimpa Vita, de Congolese heldin die vaak
vergeleken wordt met Jeanne d’Arc.
Dans son prochain film, Barbie aimerait arborer la ceinture que Kimpa Vita portait lors de son immolation
en 1706. Elle débarque à Kinshasa pour s’en procurer. Dans la capitale congolaise, Captain
America se charge de sa sécurité et Djo S, qui se vante d’avoir été fixé sur tous les films à succès tournés
à Kinshasa, est son guide personnel. Dans sa quête, Barbie redécouvre l’histoire de Kimpa Vita, cette
héroïne congolaise que plus d’un qualifie de Jeanne d’Arc d’Afrique.
For her next film, Barbie wants to wear the belt that Kimpa Vita wore during her immolation in 1706.
She travels to Kinshasa in order to find it. In the capital city, Captain America takes care of her safety
and Djo S, who is proud to have starred in all succesful films made in Kinshasa, is her personal guide.
During her search, Barbie rediscovers the story of Kimpa Vita, a Congolese heroine who is often considered
as Africa’s Joan of Arc.
