Hedendaags Algerije. Drie verhalen, drie generaties. Mourad, een rijke zakenman, vermijdt<br />
zoveel mogelijk problemen. Zijn werk, zijn vrouw en zijn zoon, dat zijn zijn prioriteiten.<br />
Aïcha wil het verleden achter zich laten en zich toewijden aan een nieuw leven als getrouwde<br />
vrouw. Vergezeld door haar vader en een buurvrouw reist ze naar haar nieuwe familie<br />
aan de andere kant van het land. Dahman, een ambitieuze neuroloog, hoopt op promotie en<br />
een nieuw hoofdstuk in zijn leven. Alle drie worden ze geconfronteerd met de gevolgen van<br />
een keuze uit het recente verleden. Drie verhalen die ons onderdompelen in de ziel van de<br />
hedendaagse Arabische samenleving.<br />
Aujourd’hui, en Algérie, trois histoires, trois générations. Passé et présent s’entrechoquent dans les existences<br />
d’un riche promoteur immobilier, d’un neurologue ambitieux rattrapé par son passé, et d’une<br />
jeune femme tiraillée entre la voie de la raison et ses sentiments. Dans les remous de ces vies bousculées<br />
qui mettent chacun face à des choix décisifs, passé et présent se télescopent pour raconter l’Algérie<br />
contemporaine.<br />
Algeria today. Three stories, three generations. Mourad has become a wealthy and important businessman.<br />
He tries to avoid any problems in his life, in which the priorities are, in his view, his work, his<br />
wife and his son. Aïcha wants to put the past behind her and devote herself to a new life as a married<br />
woman. Accompanied by her father and a neighbor, she sets out on a journey to her new family on the<br />
other side of the country. Dahman, an ambitious neurologist, hopes to start a new chapter in his life. All<br />
three will have to face the consequences of a choice made in the recent past. Three stories that immerse<br />
us in the soul of the contemporary Arab society.<br />
