Abbas, een leraar Frans, ontvluchtte met zijn twee kinderen de burgeroorlog in de Centraal-Afrikaanse<br />
Republiek. Ze vragen asiel aan in Frankrijk. Terwijl ze wachten op erkenning<br />
als vluchteling, proberen ze een nieuw leven op te bouwen: de kinderen gaan naar<br />
school en Abbas werkt op een markt in Parijs. Daar ontmoet hij Carole. Ze worden verliefd<br />
en Abbas en zijn kinderen trekken bij haar in. Maar wat als hun aanvraag geweigerd wordt ...<br />
Abbas, professeur de français, a fui la guerre en Centrafrique pour bâtir une nouvelle vie en France.<br />
En attendant d’obtenir le statut de réfugié, le quotidien d’Abbas s’organise : ses enfants sont scolarisés et<br />
il travaille sur un marché où il a rencontré Carole, sensible au courage de cet homme encore hanté par<br />
les fantômes du passé. Mais si le droit d’asile lui était refusé, qu’adviendrait-il d’Abbas et de sa famille<br />
déracinée ? Et de Carole, privée du foyer qu’elle a cru reconstruire ?<br />
Abbas, a high school teacher in the Central African Republic, has fled his war-torn country with his two<br />
children. They now live in France, where Abbas works at a food market, while applying for political<br />
asylum. A French woman, Carole, falls in love with him and offers a roof for him and his family. When<br />
Abbas’ application is rejected, they face a crucial decision.<br />
