Tessa Boerman Boerman is a documentary maker and
advisor in the field of film, media and inclusiveness. She
is program advisor for the International Film Festival
Rotterdam, for which she made the Black Rebels program in
2017 and Pan African Cinema Today (PACT) in 2018 together
with programmer Peter van Hoof. Tessa Boerman works
together with The Nest Collective of Kenya and with Theater in the
Park of Zimbabwe.
Tsitsi Dangarembga ricfounded the International Images
Film Festival for Women (www.icapatrust.org/iiff.html)
in 2002 in response to the beauty contests and offer an
alternative for the stereotypical images of and about women.
Luciana Ceccatto Farah, a fourth-generation Brazilian
of Syrian descent, studied Journalism in Belgium and Fine
Arts in Brazil. She has curated exhibitions, collections
and managed arts projects in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation
Council) since 2005, as well as attending film and acting
workshops at the Doha Film Institute. She wrote, produced and
directed ’Somebody Clap for Me’, which was shot over 3 years in
Uganda, with an all-East African crew of Maisha Film Lab alumni.
