von Wind oder Wellen anzunehmen oder sich mit
eigener Kraft im SUP-Surfen zu versuchen.
Bringen Sie Ihren Hund einfach mit – wir wissen, dass der
Urlaub für Hundebesitzer erst dann vollkommen ist, wenn
der Hund mit in den Urlaub kann, daher sind Hunde bei
uns willkommen. In unserer Gegend gibt es fünf spezielle
Hundewälder, in denen Hunde frei laufen können, aber
wenn man die Regeln respektiert, die dafür sorgen, dass
sich alle sicher fühlen können, sind Hunde auch andernorts
in der Natur und im Ort willkommen. Denken Sie aber
an Beutel für die Hinterlassenschaften Ihres Hundes. Wir
möchten unsere Natur sauber halten und bitten daher
darum, dass man seinen Abfall mitnimmt, wenn man sich
darin bewegt.

The landscape at the west coast and around Ringkøbing
Fjord is fantastic, and it’s just waiting to be discovered and
enjoyed!
Our landscape is full of contrasts: the gentle fjord with the
peaceful, idyllic surroundings opposite the wild North Sea
with the harsh wind-blown dunes, and the calm protected
areas at the Tipperne-Værnengene peninsula opposite the
busy working harbour in Hvide Sande, where the seagulls
screech and flock about the loaded fishing boats.
Each season has its own charm, and this is clear in the
colours, the scents and the animal life – the scent of
heather, dune roses in the flowering period and water and
sea in the windy periods. The fresh fish can of course also
be seen when walking about the harbours and lakes.
But apart from being a delight for the eyes and the mind,
out in nature in our area is a wonderful place to be active.
Fresh air and exercise go together like good partners. Walk,
run or cycle and make use of one of the many paths to
be found in forests, on the heath, at the fjord or by the
sea. There are possibilities everywhere, and the path
network is constantly being extended. Try the
800 metre Heart path in Bork with its range
of robust exercise facilities, or try cycling
around Ringkøbing Fjord – 110 kilometres
– it will take a whole day. Take a run
on the beach in the sand, or along the
West Coast Path, winding around the bases of the dunes,
with the birdsong in your ears and nature’s scents in your
nose. Or avail yourself of one of the possibilities for surfboarding
with the power of the wind or the waves as your
challenge, or using your own strength for SUP surfing.
Just take your dog with you – we know that for dog owners,
the holiday is only complete if the dog can come too,
so dogs are welcome here. There are five separate dog
forests in the area where dogs can run freely, but if you
respect and comply with the rules which have been set in
order for everybody to feel safe, dogs are also welcome
everywhere else in the countryside and the towns. But
please remember bags for your dog’s droppings. We want
to keep our environment clean, so we ask that you clean
up after yourself when you visit.
