of shopping. East of the town is Jyllands Park zoo, where
over 500 exotic animals live together in the middle of the
Jutland heath. It’s a perfect place for the whole family, with
the playgrounds, pony riding, sailing in small boats and
other amusements.
picnic basket for a trip where you can progress under your
own steam to enjoy a delightful day out in nature. Momhøje
nature centre also offers shelters, a place to pitch a
tent, a mountain bike track and barbecues. The plantation
is on an old brown coal field and therefore very hilly, highly
varied and entirely atypical compared to the rest of the
scenery in the municipality – the perfect place for a hike or
a run on a mountain bike. Momhøje is Ringkøbing-Skjern
municipality’s highest point at 95 metres (312 feet) above
sea level.
