können Sie eine alte Vase, 10 Paar Socken oder handgefertigte
Wichtel finden. All dies kann am Mittwoch in Tarm,
am Dienstag in Søndervig, am Donnerstag in Ringkøbing
und am Wochenende in Hvide Sande erstanden werden.

The towns around Ringkøbing Fjord offer every possible
opportunity to make a good buy. You won’t find big shopping
centres, but everyday necessities are available everywhere,
while other shops offer enticing fashion goods.
The little specialty shops are to be found in all towns, and
outside the towns there are farm shops with specialty
goods, where the visitor can concentrate on genuine local
specialties: organic, home-made and fresh. There’s meat
from the farm’s own cattle which graze on the surrounding
fields and from its own free-range pigs, and there are seasonal
vegetables fresh from the farm’s own garden as well
as special cheeses from a little dairy, ice cream from the
local dairy, coffee, tea, oils, chocolate, liquorice, caramels,
mustard, honey, apple juice, and lots more. Several places
have open farms where visitors can see the animals, as
well as vegetable fields and other attractions.
There are markets with long-forgotten treasures from old
attics, and fine antiques and major items. Find an old vase
or ten pairs of socks or a hand-made goblin. Everything
can be bought, in Tarm on Wednesday, in Søndervig on
Tuesday, in Ringkøbing on Thursday or in Hvide Sande on

The fish shops’ aroma of fresh fish can be enjoyed right
out on the street, and it’s hard not to be tempted to
buy something, perhaps an entirely new kind of fish you
haven’t tasted before. Most people find it cosy and relaxing
to visit the shops. And if there’s somebody in the family
who doesn’t want to, they might find a comfortable place
to sit down and watch the passers-by.
