Fahrradwege
Der Fahrradweg zwischen Søndervig und Ringkøbing hat
eine interessante Geschichte. Er war einer der ersten des
Landes und unabhängig von der Platzierung der Straße.
Er wurde teilweise dadurch finanziert, dass die Radfahrer
nach Søndervig und zurück eine Maut für die Benutzung
des Weges zahlen mussten. Heute ist das Wegenetz
natürlich gratis und weiter verzweigt – der Radweg „Vestkyststien“
verläuft am Fuß der Dünen zum Leuchtturm
Lyngvig Fyr im Süden und über Stadilø mit den Vogelschutzgebieten
im Norden sowie auf asphaltierten Wegen
entlang der Straße sowohl nach Ringkøbing als auch nach
Hvide Sande.
Die Zeugen der Vergangenheit vereinen sich mit dem
schnellen Tempo und dem hohen Aktivitätsniveau des
modernen Badeorts – alles zusammen in einer großartigen
Natur mit fantastischen Badestränden, hohen Dünen
und einer Landschaft, die sich ideal für Spaziergänge,
Wanderungen und Fahrradtouren eignet Hier gibt es etwas
für jung und alt, für den, der aktiv sein will, und den, der
einfach entspannen möchte.

Søndervig is one of the old west coast seaside resorts, and
the area dates back to the 1800s, when the first guests
arrived to enjoy good healthy air, the delightful warm
sand, the water and the sunshine. At first the guests were
accommodated in the dune farms, but this soon became
insufficient, so local tradesmen built the first seaside hotel
in 1884, where Danland is now situated. Søndervig is now
a super-modern seaside town with everything associated
with this position, including a wide range of holiday
cottages throughout the dunes. A big town centre now
welcomes guests, with a supermarket and shops offering
fashion clothing, sports clothes, toys, shoes, handicrafts
and much more. There are cafes, restaurants, a bowling
centre, a fitness centre, a swimming centre, bicycle
hire, segways and more. Søndervig has an annual sand
sculpture festival, where some of the world’s most skilled
sculptors come to create pure works of art in sand, which
fascinate visitors and provide inspiration throughout the
summer half-year from June to October, when there’s
everything the heart can desire in the way of activities and
possibilities – from pig festivals and amber-hunting safaris
to divine services on the beach.
