47. Start with your partner standing behind you

with the joseki on your left. Then step forward with

your right foot, then your left, pivot to the right on

your right foot, and stand in the basic natural

posture.

48. Beginning with her right foot, your partner

moves lorward by tsugi-ashi, raising her right arm,

fingers extended straight, as she goes.

49. She tries to push the right side olyourjaw with

her right hand.

50-51. Turn your left foot, your body and your

face to the left. Grab the pahn of her right hand

withtyour right hand, and break her balance to the

52. Swing your right foot forward, then pivot on it

180 degrees to your left, ducking under her right

arm and attempting to twist it.

53. Your partner steps forward with her left foot

and tries to strike you between the eyes with the

fingers olher left hand. Lower your hips and catch

her left hand from the bottom with your left hand.

54. Step back with your right foot, then your 1eft,

and pul1 her arms up and back. She swings her

right foot around behind her and leans back.

55. When her arms are fully extended, bring her

hands down to her shoulders and break her

balance to the rear.
