Appendix B: Guide to the Kodokan

LOCATION

The Kodokan, formally named the Kodokan International Judo Center, is located at

the Kasuga intersection in Bunkyo Ward, and the address is 16-30 Kasuga l-chome,

Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 112. The telephone number is (03) 3811-7151. The new eightstory

ferroconcrete building was completed in March, 1984.

The Kodokan is convenient to public transportation. It is a short walk from the Japan

National Railways' Suidobashi Station (Sobu Line), from Korakuen Station on the

Marunouchi subway line and from Kasuga Station on the Mita subway line. A number

of buses stop in front of the Bunkyo Ward Oflice, just around the corner.
