1. That the German Social Democratlc Working Men's Party wltose Commlttee In the
beginning of September One thousand elght hundred and seventy was still seated
at Brunswlck has Hever demanded to be enrolled as part and parcel or as a Sectlon
of the IHteTHatlonal Working Men's AssoclatioH.
2. That tor thls reason such an emolment has never taken place.
3. That many members of the aforesaid German Soc/al Democratic Worklng MeM's
Party have on thelr demalfd bun Ilfdivldually admltted as Members 0/ the Inter­
Hatlonal Workilfg Melf's Assoclation.
4. Tltat tUls Dec1aratiolf is made at the request of Wilhe1m Bracke a Merchalft at
Brulfswlck alfd hlmself a Member of the Ilfterlfatlolfal Working Men's Associatlon.
And I make this solemn Declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true
and by virtue of the provisions of an Act made and passed in the Session of Parliament
of the fifth and sixth years of the reign of His late Majesty King William the Fourth,
intituled .An Act to Repeal an Act of the present Session of Parliament intituled An
Act for the more effectual abolition of Oaths and Affirmations taken and made in
various departments of the State, and to substitute Declarations in Heu thereof. and for
the more entire suppression of voluntary and extra judicial Oaths and Affidavits and
to make other provisions for the abolition of unnecessary Oaths".
