Mr. I. J. Miller, of the Reynolds<br />
Tobacco Company, Winston-Salem,<br />
North Carolina, who visited the Zanerian,<br />
is a remarkably good penman.<br />
He secured his position with the<br />
Reynolds Tobacco Company purely<br />
on his fine penmanship. Mr. Miller's<br />
son is endeavoring to follow in the<br />
footsteps of his father, so he attended<br />
the Zanerian this past summer<br />
devoting his entire time to improving<br />
his handwriting.<br />
Mr. L. M. Phillips, Newark Valley,<br />
New York, received part of his education<br />
in the Zanerian. Mrs. Phillips<br />
is also a Columbus girl. When visiting<br />
relatives in Columbus, Mr. Phillips<br />
always drops into the Zanerian<br />
to renew old acquaintances. He spent<br />
several pleasant days around the<br />
Zanerian this summer.<br />
We enjoyed a pleasant visit from<br />
.Mr. C. A. Larimer, of the North<br />
Texas State Teachers College, Denton,<br />
Texas. Mr. Larimer is a very<br />
fine penman and teacher of penmanship.<br />
He thoroughly believes in requiring<br />
each teacher to be able to<br />
write and teach handwriting.<br />
<strong>The</strong> North Texas State Teachers<br />
College is one of the largest institutions<br />
of its kind. It has very beautiful<br />
buildings valued at approximately<br />
$3,000,000. <strong>The</strong>ir summer<br />
enrollment was 3300.<br />
