manufactured housing displays, even if located on grass surfaces.<br />
Wooden slatted decks and pool surfaces are exempt.<br />
(116) INDEPENDENT LIVING FACILITY<br />
A residential development that is limited to occupancy by elderly persons<br />
and/or persons with disabilities. Such a facility shall provide: (a) dwelling<br />
units with complete kitchen facilities; (b) supportive services such as<br />
meals, personal emergency response systems, recreation and<br />
transportation services, and (c) design features such as wider doorways<br />
and hallways, accessible-ready bathrooms and lower light switches.<br />
(117) INDOOR STORAGE OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS<br />
All indoor storage <strong>of</strong> hazardous materials shall be in compliance with all<br />
state and federal regulations. Such material shall be listed and made<br />
known with the Charlotte County Fire Marshall’s and <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Punta</strong> <strong>Gorda</strong><br />
Fire Chief’s Office.<br />
(118) INDUSTRIAL USES AND DEVELOPMENT<br />
Any non-residential use that requires a National Pollutant Discharge<br />
Elimination System [NPDES] permit for an industrial or stormwater<br />
discharge or involves the use or storage <strong>of</strong> any hazardous materials or<br />
substances or that is used for the purpose <strong>of</strong> manufacturing, assembling,<br />
finishing, cleaning or developing any product or commodity.<br />
(119) INSTITUTIONAL USES<br />
Large scale civic and semi-civic uses such as elementary and secondary<br />
schools, colleges, hospitals, assisted living residences, churches,<br />
convents, monasteries, hospices, and other long-term medical care<br />
facilities.<br />
(120) INTERCONNECTED STREETS<br />
Refers to streets which provide through access to other streets.<br />
Interconnected means the existence <strong>of</strong> a grid or grid pattern and may<br />
include either straight or curvilinear designs.<br />
(121) INTERSTATE HIGHWAY<br />
A controlled access highway which is part <strong>of</strong> the Federal Interstate<br />
Highway System.<br />
(122) IRREGULARLY SHAPED LOTS<br />
Lots which are located on comers or at intersections which create lots<br />
with three sides or lots with more than four sides, with corner angles<br />
greater or less than 90 degrees. The front yard <strong>of</strong> such lots shall be<br />
determined with respect to adjacent homes, and the maintenance <strong>of</strong><br />
street vistas.<br />
(123) JUNK<br />
Junk means old or scrap copper, brass, rope, rags, batteries, paper, trash,<br />
rubber, debris, including construction and land clearing debris, and<br />
waste, and shall include wrecked, inoperative or partially dismantled<br />
motor vehicles, trailers, boats, machinery, refrigerators, washing<br />
<strong>26</strong>-225
